Chores and tasks
Boys learned to fish, hunt, shoot and dodge arrows, gather and work on small crafts. Girls were taught how to collect shellfish, plant crops, tan animal hides and make clothing so they could help around the house when they were young and run a house when they were married. Both boys and girls were also taught respect for all life. Some chores the children would do would be gathering wood, tanning hides, grinding corn and helping their mothers and fathers.
